Yes, your staked TAO is always secure. Validators cannot access or steal your tokens, even if they act maliciously. When staking , you earn rewards at a rate of your validator's earnings minus their commission (default 18%). If a validator goes offline, you stop earning rewards but can unstake your TAO and accumulated rewards at any time, subject to the 360-block waiting period.
