Metagraph
A data structure that contains comprehensive information about the current state of a subnet and its participants.
The metagraph tracks detailed information about all nodes (neurons) in a subnet. It shows how validators and miners interact and perform within the network. Think of it as a snapshot that captures the current state of a subnet, including stakes, weights , and performance metrics.
The metagraph stores key data about everyone in the subnet. It tracks how much validators stake and what weights they give to miners. It also records how well miners perform over time. This information helps calculate how rewards get distributed across the network.
Validators sync with a subnet's metagraph to learn about all miners in their subnet. Anyone can inspect the metagraph without participating in a subnet. This transparency helps network participants make informed decisions about validation and mining activities.
