Delegatee

A validator who accepts delegated TAO from nominators to increase their network stake.

What is a Delegatee?

A delegatee is a validator who accepts TAO from nominators . They combine their own stake with delegated funds to perform validation tasks. This pooled stake determines their influence in the network.

Becoming a Delegatee

To accept delegations, validators must register their subnet validator key and nominate their hotkey as a delegate. They set their take rate between 0% and 18% of delegated rewards. This rate balances attracting nominators while covering operational costs.

Reward Distribution

Delegatees earn rewards based on their total stake and validation performance. They keep their full rewards from personal stake, plus their chosen take rate from delegated rewards. The remaining delegated rewards go to their nominators. This system encourages delegatees to maintain high-quality validation work.
